Apple's licence terms

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms add to it. If they conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the extent it must. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal or work purposes, as allowed by the App Store rules. The app's code, design, name and icon remain ours, except for the open-source components listed in the app under Settings › Acknowledgements, which are provided under their own licences.

Your recordings

Everything you record, import, write or create in the app belongs to you. We get no rights to it and, as the Privacy Policy explains, no access to it. You are responsible for your content and for keeping backups of recordings that matter to you, for example with iCloud Backup or by exporting them.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law or to violate other people's rights, including their privacy and intellectual property. Don't try to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, or to get around Pro features, except where the law expressly allows it.

Voxly Pro and payments

Recording, playback, sharing, trimming and backup are free, with no limits. Voxly Pro adds features such as transcription, summaries, advanced editing, more export formats and Wi‑Fi Transfer. Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.

Transcripts and summaries

Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically on your iPhone and may contain mistakes, miss words or misunderstand context. Check them before relying on them, especially for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions. Whether they are available depends on your iPhone, iOS version, language and, for summaries, Apple Intelligence.

Updates and availability

We work to improve the app and may add, change or remove features through updates. We will not take away features you paid for during a paid period without a fair alternative or as required by law. The app relies on iOS and Apple services, which may change outside our control.

Disclaimer

The app is designed to protect your recordings, but no software is perfect. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, recordings, profits or business, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app and Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence ends. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and continue to follow Apple's rules until you cancel them.

Governing law

To the extent the law allows, these terms are governed by the laws of the place where the developer lives, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims before the courts there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when laws change. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
